Nibley Festival is a not-for-profit, community event, and we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our wonderful audience. In particular, we want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading customer lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We just don’t do that sort of thing. This document explains what data we collect, and why, and how we protect your privacy and keep your data safe and secure.

When you visit our website you can do so without submitting any personal data. We use Google Analytics and cookies to collect standard internet log information such as traffic on the website, pages visited, and length of time spent on the website. When you purchase tickets through our website we ask for your name, contact details, and a means of payment. All our payments are processed by a specialist provider (PayPal or Stripe), so we do not have access to your credit card details. We keep a record of your purchases with your name and contact details in our ticket system so we can process your order and send you your eTickets by email. The ticket system is used on site to give you access, and for safe running of the festival.
We also look at this data as a whole, without identifying individuals, to help us understand more about who our audience are and what their preferences may be. This helps us make decisions to make the festival better for our audience. We do not share your personal details with any other company or event.
How We Look After the Data
We take the security of your personal data very seriously, and take every effort to protect it. Access is limited to individuals on a need-to-know basis, for example, those dealing with enquiries about your tickets. All access to our ticket system uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and password protection.
We retain information about ticket purchases for a minimum period of six years following the end of the financial year in which you placed your order. This is required by law for tax purposes and VAT returns.
