SKANKt

SKANKt started in Cheltenham in 1999 and toured around the UK for a number of years, releasing three records.

They play an infectious blend of upbeat post-ska grooves and have played alongside bands such as: The Selector, Bad Manners, Suzi Quatro, Capdown and King Prawn, and at major UK festivals; Isle of White, Wychwood and 2000 Trees. A move to Bristol in 2009, saw SKANKt change name to Waiting for Kate. The band continued to tour and release new music, but crucially one thing changed; Saxophone player Kate gradually started to arrive to things on time! In 2020 the band changed line up, and a move back to the name SKANKt was the obvious decision.

Any gig with this band is an absolute riot; they know how to party and infect the audience with a compulsion to pull ridiculous shapes
