She Makes War is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist producer and visual artist Laura Kidd. Blending urgent indie rock with melancholy torch songs, SMW completed recording her fourth album in May 2017 and since then has been busy recording guest vocals on The Levellers’ 30th anniversary album, taking part in a British Council cultural exchange in Indonesia and touring Europe completely solo.
She launched the PledgeMusic campaign for her new album last November and shot into the top 10 albums trending worldwide, introduced her new live band with a blistering set supporting Britpop legends Echobelly and performed at Hammersmith Apollo alongside Brian Cox, Robin Ince and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Previously Laura has also supported the likes of Suede, The Magic Numbers, The Levellers, New Model Army, Duke Special and This Is The Kit - She Make War is now quite rightly making waves on her own.
