Luke & Damon are familiar faces on the Blues, Folk and Americana scene in Gloucestershire and further afield. Since seeing them perform at various local festivals we have wanted to bring them to Nibley to highlight what amazing talent is on our doorstep.
Damon T is a New York City-born singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist influenced by Americana roots and traditional music, exploring the rich heritage of early African-American music - blues, spirituals, folk, slavery and work songs. A passionate, soulful vocalist capturing the diverse spirit of traditional music in a unique and modern way.
Luke Philbrick plays original roots music drawing on traditional blues and folk influences. Startlingly powerful vocals, raw delta blues styled guitar and an almost tribal foot-stomping beat combine to create a special atmosphere.
Whilst performers in their own rights as long time collaborators they often perform as a duo and their complimentary styles give a real depth to their sets. The Cheshire Cat is bound to be busy for this fantastic act.
