Comprised of a Drum n Bass M.C., a drummer and acoustic guitarist / vocalist, Aranka's Cackle quite accurately describe themselves as a blend of West Country ragga hip-hop. If that sounds like The Wurzels on something stronger than Scrumpy then don't be alarmed - this local band are bags of fun. They have a fabulously catchy rhythm to their upbeat numbers and the obvious ska influence ensures that you just can't help but want to dance. The ska sounds might be explained by the fact that the lead singer is the son of a member of The Beat - now where have we heard of that band before...
