Many people tell us that out ticket prices are too cheap! We agree, that we offer fantastic value and we want to remain affordable to as many people as possible. We are a not-for-profit organisation, but we have helped raise over £32,000 for charities and good causes. You can help with this work by making an extra voluntary donation when you buy your tickets. All money raised in this way will go to these good causes.
St. Anne’s School, Ahero, Kenya
A school in Kenya, linked to our local primary school.
North Nibley C of E Primary School has a well established link with St. Anne’s School, Ahero, Kenya. The partnership has 5 aims, including the development of healthy lifestyles (to include social, emotional and cultural well-being as well as physical health).
Class Teacher Sara Wright and Head Teacher Paul Batchelor travelled to Ahero in 2011 to see first hand the impact of the project, to teach a few lessons and exchange curriculum materials which the children had prepared. The area is impoverished and whilst there have been improvements made to the sanitation there is a long way to go. Any funds raised through your donations will go via the School Fund to be presented to the Kenyan school at the next visit.
Bournstream Trust
A local play and picnic site for children with special needs.
Bournstream is a unique outdoor adventure playsite a mile from the festival site, set in a hidden valley bordered by fields and woodland. It has picnic areas, an extensive pathway for bikes, play vehicles and wheelchairs, giant sandpits, a play house, swings, climbing wall, water play area and much more.
Its dedicated use is for children and young people with disabilities or special needs – for their families, carers, respite groups and special schools.
Bournstream is run entirely by volunteers. It is managed by a hands-on Committee (which includes parents of children with disabilities and respite carers), volunteers giving their time, energy and ideas – and with the active support of many local Community Groups.
