FAQ
Your questions answered

Many questions are answered in our Full Terms and Conditions.

  • What time does the festival start and finish?

The 2012 festival is on Saturday 7th July. The gates open by 1.30pm and the music continues until 11pm. Camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights.

  • Where can I get tickets?

All details are on our ticket page.

  • How do I get there?

North Nibley is a stunning Cotswold location, half way between Bristol and Gloucester. Get to the village and follow the signs. Here’s a map or put GL11 6DL into your sat-nav.

  • Do I have to pay for parking?

No – there is plenty of free parking in a nearby field, but we encourage you to lift-share when possible. Nibley has teamed up with www.gocarshare.com which is a fantastic way of cutting your costs and your carbon footprint by car sharing. Please register – useful generally (not just for Nibley!)

  • Are the access and facilities suitable for the disabled?

The festival site is on a level, grassed playing field. It is suitable for wheelchair access, and disabled parking will be as close as possible to the main entrance. There will be disabled toilets on the site. If you wish to discuss any concerns please contact us via info@nibleyfestival.co.uk.

  • What are the festival organisers doing to limit the impact on the environment?

We have a team actively working on ways to limit our CO2 footprint.  This year we’re concentrating on recycling; we encourage people to lift-share where possible; we’ll have an information area focussing on green issues; and we are investigating ways off offsetting our CO2 footprint locally.  More information on our Green Space page.

  • Which bands are playing?

All details are on our music page.

  • Is it OK to bring kids?

Yes. This is a very family-friendly festival with plenty to keep children busy and most of the activities are included in the admission price. See our kids page for more detail.

  • What else is there to do?

See the list on our fun page.

  • Can I bring my own food or drink?

We will have a wide range of food stalls on site but you can bring your own picnic if you wish. However, we do not allow BBQ’s or open fires and we do not allow glass containers or bottles to be brought onto the site.
Several beers from Severn Vale Brewery, lager, cider, wine and soft drinks will be available but we do not otherwise allow alcohol to be brought onto the site.

  • Can I bring my dog?

No. The festival uses the village playing field from which dogs are prohibited by local bye-law. Sorry.

  • Can I run a stall at the festival?

Please email stalls@nibleyfestival.co.uk with details of what you are offering.

  • Can I help?

The festival needs volunteers and rewards them with a free ticket.  Volunteer details…

  • Who organises Nibley – what’s it all about?

Nibley Festival was started in 2007 by a group of villagers in North Nibley that thought it would be a good idea – simple as that really. The organisers are all local volunteers that love music and want to put on a great show for the local community and beyond. It is not a commercial operation and any money generated is either ploughed back into the festival for future years or donated to local charities and good causes. We try to run the festival very professionally and we are proud that it now has a following of people from all over the country. The main thing we care about though is that you have a lovely time here with your family, that you feel you heard fantastic music and you had excellent value for money. If we create a little bit of magic every July we are happy with our work!
